Dive deep into Vietnam

“Dive deep into Vietnam” is an extraordinary ThisWorld Original film that takes you on a captivating journey through the diverse landscapes, vibrant cultures, and untold stories of one of Southeast Asia’s most interesting countries.

As our cameras traverse the length and breadth of Vietnam, we discovered the breathtaking beauty of its rice terraces, the tranquility of its fishing lakes, and the vibrant energy of its bustling markets. From the majestic Rice Terraces of Mù Cang Chải to the serene Fishing Lake of Thác Bà, each location we explore holds a wealth of history, tradition, and natural splendor.

Did you know that the Rice Terraces of Mù Cang Chải are not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site but also an engineering marvel dating back over 300 years? These terraces, carved into the mountains by generations of Hmong ethnic minority farmers, are a testament to the ingenuity and perseverance of the Vietnamese people.

In our film, we delve into the heart of Vietnamese agriculture, uncovering the secrets of the Lychee Harvest in Bac Giang and the intricate process of rice planting in Mu Cang Chai. From the salty air of the Fishery in Binh Thuan to the aromatic scents of the Ceramic Village in Phu Lang, each destination offers a glimpse into the daily lives and traditions of the people who call Vietnam home. We were able to interview a few locals to get some perspective what is to be vietnamese.

Working alongside the talented filmmaker, Harry Pope, was an enriching experience that brought this film to life in ways we never imagined. His keen eye for detail and deep appreciation for Vietnamese culture infused every frame with authenticity and beauty.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the warm and welcoming people of Vietnam, whose hospitality and generosity made our journey unforgettable. From the skilled artisans crafting intricate fish traps in Thu Sy to the hardworking farmers tending to their rice fields in Mu Cang Chai, their dedication to their craft is an inspiration to us all.
